COVID-19 Vaccinations to be Required for USCIS Medical Exams

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced that proof of vaccinations will be required to obtain an ‘immigration medical examination’ (form I-693). These examinations are required for all foreign nationals applying for adjustment of status to permanent residency status. The new policy will take effect on October 1, 2021, but will not apply to medical examinations completed and signed by a civil surgeon before this date.
