Canada Eases COVID-19 Testing Requirements

Effective February 28, 2022, Canada has adjusted border measures to facilitate entry for fully-vaccinated travelers eligible to enter the country:

  • Travelers will no longer need to obtain a molecular COVID-19 test and can instead obtain a negative rapid antigen test taken 24 hours prior to their scheduled flight or arrival at the land border. The rapid antigen test must be administered by a laboratory or health facility. At home tests will not be accepted for entry.

  • Randomized arrival testing will continue, however, selected travelers will not need to quarantine while waiting for their test result.

All travelers will need to continue to meet Canada's other existing entry requirements including submission of information via ArriveCan and offering proof of vaccination.
