USCIS Conducts Third Lottery of FY2022 H-1B Cap Registrations

Today, November 19, 2021, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) issued results of a third lottery of H-1B registrations. This lottery was conducted to exhaust the annual quota of 85,000 new H-1Bs (the “cap”) for Fiscal Year 2022 (FY2022). Registrants selected in the third lottery will be eligible to have H-1B cap petitions filed on their behalf between November 22, 2021 and February 23, 2022. We have already notified our clients of all newly selected registrants. It is highly unlikely that the USCIS will select additional registrants for FY2022, though theoretically possible until the USCIS officially closes and rejects the remaining registrations.
