USCIS Expands Premium Processing Service to E-3 Petitions for Australians

On Wednesday, February 24th, the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that, effective immediately, petitioners can now file E-3 petitions requesting a change of status or extension of stay with a request for premium processing, an optional service that allows petitioners to pay an additional $2,500 government filing fee to expedite adjudication to within 15 calendar days. Premium processing is only available for certain forms and classifications, and was previously unavailable for the E-3 classification, which is reserved for nationals of Australia who are coming to the United States to work in a specialty occupation.
