Canada Implements New COVID-19 PCR Testing Requirement at Land Borders
As of Monday, February 15th, all travelers entering Canada by land are required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken in the United States within 72 hours of pre-arrival, or a positive test taken 14 to 90 days prior to arrival. In addition, as of February 22nd, travelers entering Canada at the land border will be required to take a COVID-19 test on arrival as well as toward the end of their 14 day quarantine.
Only certain land borders are administering the on-arrival tests and the government has not yet clarified procedure for the secondary test to be taken at the end of an individual’s quarantine period. Please contact Goeschl Law for guidance on these items.
